After a successful tender process, Tate and Morgan were awarded the building contract for the refurbishment of hospital buildings at the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. This refurbishment of the hospital buildings included renovating the main kitchen area, converting outdated bathrooms to wet rooms and installing new roofing systems on five of the buildings at the Harlow hospital.

The main kitchen refurbishment comprised the following

We were asked to refurbish the whole of the outdated kitchen at the hospital and this included a new suspended ceiling, hygienic wall cladding, covering exposed pipes with stainless steel surrounds and installing specialist hoarding to prevent contamination from the work section to the food prep area.

New ventilation system was installed in the kitchen

We upgraded the old ventilation systems to make them more in line with modern requirements in a hospital kitchen and we replaced the ventilation grills incorporated them into the new ceiling.

The kitchen was rewired, redecorated and new flooring installed

The whole kitchen was also rewired and then new commercial non-slip flooring laid. Finally, the finished kitchen was redecorated.
